Worldwide SAGE Project to Assist Haiti

To All SAGE Coordinators, Advisors and Friends,

At 5 PM on January 12th the largest earthquake in 200 years struck the country of Haiti. In just over 35 seconds, over 200,000 people were killed and over twice that many were left homeless.

Now SAGE wants to help!

My students at D'Youville College are sponsoring a contest to raise money to help rebuild a school that was devastated in the earthquake. Attached is a flyer that outlines the details of the contest:

  1. Design a logo to be used on T-Shirts that can be sold to raise money to help rebuild the Union School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  2. Send the logo designs to dycsifeteam@gmail.com
  3. The SAGE team that designs the winning logo will receive 20 free T-Shirts with the logo and $250!

Our goal is to have SAGE teams around the world sell T-Shirts with the SAGE Haiti logo to raise money to rebuild the school. This will be the first worldwide SAGE project that all SAGE teams can participate TOGETHER on. If we are successful in raising $3000 for the school, we hope to be able to publicize SAGE in many, many publications around the world which will help expand the message of SAGE!

Please join this WORLDWIDE SAGE project by having your SAGE teams design a logo for the T-Shirts. Entries must be e-mailed by 3/22/10.

Thank you,

Peter Eimer

SAGE North American Coordinator
